You will arrive at either IST Airport (on the European side) or SAW Airport (on the Asian side) in Istanbul. From either airport, you must travel to the central Taksim Square, where our meeting venues and accommodations are located.
Transportation options from both airports include direct private buses or public transport with transfers.
Option 1: Direct Buses
Direct buses are easy to find at both airports, cost approximately €7–8, and can be paid for with cash or credit card. They are the simplest option, especially if you are in a hurry for the welcome session or a pre-conference tour.
- From SAW Airport:
Take the Havabus service to Taksim, departing every 30 minutes.

Travel time: 60–120 minutes, depending on traffic. - From IST Airport:
Take the HAVAIST bus service to Taksim (check schedule for departure times).

Always disembark at the final stop: Taksim.
Option 2: Public Transport
Public transport is less expensive (around €2) but requires transfers and an Istanbulkart travel card. Without prior experience, navigating the large interchanges can be time-consuming. This option is best if you have ample time upon arrival.
From SAW Airport (Travel time: 120–150 minutes)
Option A:
- Take Metro M4 to the last stop, Kadıköy (very frequent).
- Change to the ferry to Kabataş (departs every 30 mins)-> Timetable
- Change to the funicular (F1 line) to Taksim (very frequent).
Option B:
- Take Metro M4 toward Kadıköy.
- Change at Ayrılık Çeşmesi to the Marmaray train toward Ataköy/Halkalı.
- Change at Yenikapı to Metro M2 toward Hacıosman.
- Exit at Taksim.
From IST Airport (Travel time: 90–120 minutes)
- Take Metro M11 toward Gayrettepe.
- Change at Gayrettepe (a very deep underground station) to Metro M2 toward Yenikapı.
- Exit at Taksim.
